About Base64
- •Base64 encoding converts binary data to ASCII text using 64 printable characters (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, +, /).
- •It is commonly used for embedding images in HTML/CSS, encoding email attachments, and transferring binary data in JSON APIs.
- •URL-safe Base64 replaces + with - and / with _ and omits = padding, making it safe for use in URLs and filenames.
- •Base64 increases data size by approximately 33% compared to the raw binary — keep this in mind for large files.
